Antiskid system (ASR)
Antiskid system prevents slippage of driving
wheels, irrespective of road conditions.
With driving wheels skidding
on one or both
sides, automatically, ASR working mode is activated,
with this, pilot lamp of anti-skid system activation ar-
ranged on instrument panel lightens on
. With skid-
ding over, pilot lamp dies out.
If driving wheels rotate on one side, ASR retards
them automatically.
With driving wheels skidding on both sides, ASR
decreases the engine traction force automatically.
When crossing the sections with loose soil
(on
sand or gravel roads), be sure to shift ASR
to «Poor road»
mode.
Switch on the mode «Poor road» by short-
time pressing on ASR mode switch located on the
instrument panel. With this, pilot lamp of ASR
system engagement lights up on the instrument
panel
.
With the following pressing an automatic mode of
ASR system is engaged, pilot lamp goes out.
Vehicle stability control system
Electronic stability program (ESP) is a combina-
tion of two systems stabilizing the vehicle movement:
- systems controlling vehicle stability, defining the
steering wheel turning degree, compensate control loss by
means of selective partial braking of the necessary wheel;
- anti roll-over systems, decreasing the speed and
preventing the vehicle roll-over in different road situations.
Vehicle stability control system is disengaged at
vehicle speed less than 7,2 km/h.
Anti-roll over system is switched off at vehicle
speed less than 18 km/h.
Attention!
ESP system opportunities can not overcome all
critical situations occurring during motion of the vehicle.
ESP system doesn't dispense the driver with the
necessity of consideration of meteorological conditions
and traffic situation.
Critical even for the vehicles equipped with ESP is
the following:
- big and/ or sharp turn of the steering wheel on a high
speed;
- load conditions with very high gravity center;
- load conditions with light load and simultaneously
with a high gravity center;
- load conditions with high and floating gravity center;
- vehicle control situation when the wheels are in con-
tact with the side surface (pavement).
