Troubleshooting the M7i CFEB and CFEB-E
Problem
The CFEB or CFEB-E is not functioning normally.
Solution
To troubleshoot the CFEB or CFEB-E:
•
Make sure the CFEB or CFEB-E is properly seated in the midplane. Use a Phillips
screwdriver to ensure that the screws on the CFEB or CFEB-E handles are securely
tightened.
•
Check the alarm LEDs on the FIC. A CFEB or CFEB-E failure generates a red alarm.

Problem
The FIC or PICs are not functioning normally.
Solution
To troubleshoot the FIC or PICs:

To check the status of each port on a FIC or PIC, look at the LED located on the
faceplate. For information about the meaning of LED states on different PICs, see the

To check the status of an interface, issue the
show chassis fpc pic-status
command.
