Battery removal

Requirements

– Park the truck securely, see page 84.
– Expose the battery, see page 54.

Tools and Material Required

– Battery replacement station / trolley

Procedure

• Disconnect the battery connector from the truck connector.

Z

Place the battery cable on the tray so that it cannot be severed when the battery
is pulled out.

• Flip the battery lock (58) back until the battery retainer (60) can move freely.
• Raise the battery retainer (60) and flip back the lock (58) to secure the retainer in

the upper position.

• Position the battery trolley by the truck.
• Carefully push the battery (59) from off the truck onto the battery change station /

trolley.

The battery is now removed.
