5.3.3.7 FINAL ADJUSTMENTS – HYDRAULICS
ATTENTION
There could be the presence of air in the hydraulic circuit, especially after the first installation or following some maintenance jobs.
60) Pressurize system until cylinders engage carriages and lower to a comfortable working height (Around 300mm) to bleed cylinders.
61) Start with Idler side first. Slowly and carefully loosen the bleed plug (see
34
) on top side of the cylinder just
enough to allow the entrapped air to escape. Repeat for power side.

62) Raise lift 100-150mm. Repeat previous step 3~5 times until no air comes out of cylinder.
63) Pressure test hydraulic system. Energize power unit, raise lift to full rise and continue to run motor for additional 10 seconds. (NOTE:
pressure relief will make a high pitch squeal sound for these 10 seconds.) Check hydraulic system for leaks and add oil if necessary.
64) Energize power unit again for 10 seconds. With a clean rag, wipe down both cylinder rods. (The cylinders are shipped with a small
amount of clear anti-corrosive lubricant that will be forced out through the wiper when the lift reaches full rise.)
If lubricant is not wiped
clean from the cylinder rod, the cylinder will appear to be leaking.
5.3.3.8 FINAL ADJUSTMENTS – SYNCHRONISING CABLES
65) Raise lift and insure carriages lower into same lock position.
66) Adjust synchronizing cables so the tension is equal in both cables and carriages are firmly sitting on locks.
67) Cycle lift to insure that latches operate simultaneously.
5.3.3.9 FINAL ADJUSTMENTS – LOCK RELEASE
68) Raise lift to a lock position but don’t set into the lock. Push and release lowering button while watching both columns and make sure
that all the locks are/engaging/disengaging simultaneously.
ATTENTION
Important: if any of the locks does not fully disengage, damage may result to carriage and or cable synchronizing system.
5.3.3.10 FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
69) Clean up work area and lift.
70) Demonstrate the operation of the lift to the owner/operator.
