2) therefore, knowing that in each pair of chucks one has to be in its fixed position, we have

to adjust the other chuck regarding the one in the fixed position.

3) introduce the screws of the chuck to be adjusted but without tightening them. so the jaw

can be moved by hand, but does not have the possibility of elevating above the surface where

it is supported.

4) using the special short-arm 1.5 mm allen key, unscrew about 1 turn the two prisoner chuck-

adjustment screws (these are the two prisoner screws located between the handle of the jaw

and chuck to be adjusted).

5) then, introduce any pair of cutter-tracers in their corresponding tool holders, but the other

way round, (with the cutting points towards the interior of the toolbox). lower the head of the

machine, and block it at a height where the tools can touch the sides of the chucks.

6) activate the electronic vertical adjustment system of the tracer.

7) support the end of the chuck that is fixed (the one with a fixed position) against the side of

the tool.  Manually, displace the chuck to be adjusted in the direction of handle of the jaw, and

keeping pressure on the jaw in that direction, displace it towards the front until it side slightly

touches its corresponding tool.  in this position, slightly tighten the fixing screws of the chuck.

we will know when the tools are touching their corresponding chucks because the lights of

the electronic vertical adjustment system of the tracer will come on.

8) then, separate the mobile chuck from the chuck to be adjusted, by turning the handle of

the jaw.

9) align the tool with one of the fixing screws of the chuck, and in this position support the tool

against the blocked chuck (the one that has blocked position). now, and always maintaining

a very slight pressure between the tool and the chuck that is blocked (the one that has a

blocked position), very slowly tighten the prisoner screw that is aligned with the tool and with

the chuck screw.  You reach the moment when the second light of the electronic vertical regu-

lation system of the tracer comes on.  when that occurs, stop tightening the prisoner screw.

10) align the tool with the other blocking screw of the chuck, and then do the same separation

again.

11) once again review that the chucks have been adjusted in those two positions (in front of

the blocking screws), and if necessary, slightly adjust the chuck by very slightly tightening the

corresponding prisoner screw.

12) the adjustment is now done, but now you have to strongly tighten the blocking screws

of the chuck.

13) lastly, tighten a little the two adjustment prisoner screws of the chuck.  this way, we

ensure improved consistency in the fixing of the chuck we have adjusted.

4.3 REPLACEMENt OF FUsEs

in the case that the machine does not start when activating the start switches, you should

check the fuses.  this operation is done as follows:

1) switch off the machine using the mains switch and unplug the power cable.

2) take out the fuse holder that is located under the mains switch.

3) check (using a tester) is any fuse is blown, and if so, replace it with another of the same

type and value.

4.4 tENsING AND REPLACEMENt OF tHE BELt

to review the tensing of the belt or to replace it, follows these steps:

1) switch off the machine using the mains switch and unplug the power cable.

2) unscrew the 4 screws (5) that fix the “head safety-guard” and remove it.  the screws are

on the right-hand side, on the left-hand side, at the upper part, and at the rear.  in order to

remove the “head safety-guard”, you should first introduce and up to the stop, the “cutter

blocking button” (e).

3) loosen but without removing, the 4 screws (6) that hold the motor.

4) loosen but without removing, the 2 locking nuts (7).

tensing:  turning the tensing screws (8), moves the motor towards the rear of the machine.

when you see that the belt is at the required tension, retighten the locking nuts (7) and the

screws (6) that fix the motor.

replacement: loosen but with removing, the 2 tensing screws of the belt (8). remove the

broken belt and replace it with another one.  turning the tensing screws (8), moves the motor

towards the rear of the machine.  when you see that the belt is at the required tension,

retighten the locking nuts (7) and the screws (6) that fix the motor.

5) re-install and block the “head safety-guard”.

See Fig. 16

4.5 REPLACEMENt OF tHE MOtOR

this operation is done as follows:

1) switch off the machine using the mains switch and unplug the power cable.

2) unscrew the 4 screws (5) that fix the head safety-guard and remove it. the screws are

on the right-hand side, on the left-hand side, at the upper part, and at the rear.  in order to

remove the “head safety-guard”, you should first introduce and up to the stop, the “cutter

blocking button” (e).

3) unscrew the 6 screws (9) that fix the “motor safety-guard” (F) and remove it.

4) remove the belt (g).

5) disconnect the power cables that reach the motor.

6) unscrew the 4 screws (6) that fix the motor.

7) remove the motor.

8) From the lower part of the motor using a flat screwdriver, block the axle of the motor and

manually turn the pulley (h) until removing it (it has a left-hand thread).

9) remove the 4 screws (10) that fix the mounting plate of the motor and remove it.

10) to assemble the new motor, do the same operations but in reverse.

See Fig. 17

4.6 REPLACEMENt OF tHE sCREEN-KEYBOARD

this operation is done as follows:

1) switch off the machine using the mains switch and unplug the power cable.

3) disconnect the flat cable that connects the screen-keyboard (K) with the electronic control

board.

4) unstuck the old screen-keyboard (K) from the “head safety-guard” and take it out.

5) to assemble the new screen-keyboard, do the same operations but in reverse.

5.- sAFEtY

we recommend you follow these guidelines for your safety:

• Do not try to start or manipulate the machine until all the safety measures, instructions for

the installation, guidelines for the operator and maintenance procedures have been comple-

ted and understood.

• Always disconnect the electricity supply before doing any cleaning or maintenance work.

• Always maintain the machine and its surroundings clean.

• Work with dry hands.

• Always use eye protection although the machine has its own protection.

• Make sure the machine is always earthed.

we recommend working with the machine at a height where the user is comfortable:

• Ideally the operator should be seated.  Adjust the height of the seat so the eyes of the

operator are at the same height as the upper part of the machine.

• If the operator is standing, depending on the height of the user, we recommend using a

platform between the table and the machine, so that the eyes of the user are at the height of

the upper part of the machine.

6.- ELIMINAtION OF REsIDUEs

by residues, we understand any abandoned substance or object or that will be abandoned,

produced by human activity or by natural cycles.

6.1 PACKING

• As the packing of the CAPRI is cardboard, it can be recycled as packing for other uses.

• As a residue, it is included in solid urban waste and therefore it can only be deposited into

the special containers for carton.

• The shielding that protects the machine inside the cardboard box is made from polymeric

material included in urban solid waste and therefore can only be deposited in the normal

installations for elimination of residues.
