WARNING
Warning of unguarded moving machine parts!
The drive shaft of the motor moves mechanical parts, some of which have
sharp edges.
You could get caught in the rotating drive shaft and incur crushes and cuts.
•
Never touch a rotating drive shaft.
•
Do not wear lose-fitting clothing.
•
Do not wear gloves.
•
Install a second set of limit switches to interrupt the motor power supply.
•
Before carrying out any work on the motor switch it off and ensure that it
can not move.
•
Make sure that there is no danger to persons or damage to property
even if the drive starts moving unintentionally.
WARNING
Warning of feather key coming loose!
If the feather key is mounted on the motor shaft without drive element, the
feather key may come loose.
•
Operate the motor only with the drive element fitted or with the yellow
protective cap supplied with the motor.
•
Wear goggles.
WARNING
Warning of suspended loads!
Suspended loads can fall because the holding brakes installed in the motor
do not provide functional safety. If the load hits you, you may be injured or
killed.
•
Functional safety can only be achieved with an additional external
mechanical brake.
