before beginning work, watch out for hidden
obstacles, such as rocks, stumps, roots, etc., that could
cause the blade to kick back if struck.
∙
always handle the device securely with two hands
and do not grip other parts except the handles.
∙
replace or resharpen dull blades.
∙
never raise the unit above your waist.
∙
avoid operating the brushcutter using the blade
segment between the 12 and 2 o’clock position.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Prior to any mounting,
adjusting, maintenance procedures
the machine must be turned off. Also
pull the spark plug cap (21) out.
CAUTION! Protective gloves must be
worn when handling the cutting parts.
Shoulder strap (3) [F2]
WARNING! Always wear the shoulder
strap (3) when using the machine.
∙
Insert the shoulder strap (3) in the suspension point
(4).
Auxiliary handle (2) [F3]
∙
Mount the auxiliary handle (2) on the shaft tube (8).
∙
Fasten the hexagonal screws with wrench (25).
Poles [F4]
∙
Insert the poles of hedge trimmer or pole pruner to
the main shaft tube (8).
∙
Tighten the knob bolt (10) securely.
Installing the guide bar (31) and the saw chain (33)
[F5]
(FOR THE POLE PRUNER ONLY)
1. Place the machine on a level surface.
2. Mount the saw chain (33) on the guide bar (31),
paying attention to the direction of the teeth.
3. Mount the guide bar (31) onto the main unit of the
machine so that the positioning pins (39) fit into the
guide bar slot (40).
4. Replace the chain cover (34) in its position and
tighten the fixing bolt (36) lightly.
5. Tighten the adjusting screw (38).
6. Tighten the fixing bolt (36).
For removing:
1. Unscrew the fixing nut (37) and remove the chain
cover (34).
2. Remove the saw chain (33) and the guide bar (31).
3. Re-installing the guide bar (31) and saw chain (33).
PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
WARNING! Perform the following procedures, with
the engine cooled down.
Oil recommendations
(FOR THE POLE PRUNER ONLY)
Prior to each use of the machine, as well as after every
10 minutes of operation it is necessary to perform a
check of oil level in the oil tank (35).
1. Place the machine on its side on a flat surface.
2. Clean the surface around the oil tank plug and
unscrew it.
3. Insert the clean rod into the mouth of the oil tank
(35): if the oil level doesn’t reach 2/3 of the rod’s length,
add oil into the tank (35).
4. Replace the oil tank plug.
ATTENTION! Whenever you refill the fuel tank (12)
with fuel, you must also top up the level of oil in
the oil tank (35). It is recommended to use standard
chain oil.
CAUTION! In order to avoid damage
to the machine, use only oil of
recommended grade. Under no
circumstances should old or recycled
oil be used. The use of unauthorized
oil forfeits the right to present
guarantee claims.
Fuel recommendations
The machine is equipped with a two-stroke engine and
must always been operated using a mixture of petrol
and two-stroke oil. It is important to accurately measure
the amount of oil to be mixed to ensure that the correct
mixture is obtained.

Pour the correct quantities of regular gasoline
(leaded or unleaded, alcohol free) and 2-stroke oil into a
