1. Loosen the knurled nut (1) and remove
the cover (2) and bowl assembly (3).
2. Clean out and dry the complete pre-
cleaner assembly and reassemble.
Unloader valve (Fig. 25)
Check the unloader valve - Flexible
maintenance
If the tractor is not fitted with an air
pre-cleaner check the unloader valve (1).
Squeeze the valve with the fingers to re-
lease the accumulated dust.

Dry air cleaner (Fig. 25 to Fig. 27)
Clean the MAIN element - Flexible
maintenance or when the warning light
comes on.
Change the MAIN element every
1000 hours
CAUTION
Never use petrol (gasoline), paraffin or
cleaning solvents to clean the elements.
Fig. 26:
• DO NOT attempt to blow the main ele -
ment clean using the tractor exhaust
gases.
• DO NOT attempt to clean the inner
secondary element.
• NEVER add oil to a dry air cleaner.
• If servicing is not carried out when
the warning light comes on the engine
will lose power and damage could be
caused.
Fig. 27:
If the air cleaner warning light comes on
when the engine is running, stop the en-
gine and service the air cleaner.
1. Open the clamps (2) and withdraw the
main outer element (3).
2. If dust is present inside the outer ele-
ment, it must be renewed. If satisfac-
tory, clean the element by tapping both
