Main gear lever (9 Fig. 4)
The gear lever knob has a diagram
engraved on its top face to indicate the
respective gear positions. There is Eight
– speed standard gear box in this tractor
that has four forward speed and one re-
verse , doubled by epicyclic reduction unit
to produce eight forward speeds and two
reverse.
On synchromesh gearboxes (if fitted)
changes can be made on the move in the
top two gears. The gear lever is used in
conjunction with the other levers to se-
lect the required speed - see also the road
speed chart (See page 37).

Figure 9 gives details of the gear shift
pattern for the gearbox.
CAUTION
The tractor MUST be stationary when
shifting from forward to reverse or vice
versa, otherwise serious damage could
be caused to the transmission.
Controls — GENERAL
Plough light (Fig. 10)
The plough light is operated by a rotary
switch on the back of the light.

The right hand lower link has a level-
ling device which is operated by turning
the cranked handle clockwise to lower the
lower link or counter clockwise to raise
the lower link.
