NOTE:
If you are using a 900 MHz RB4030 Base Radio and change the
LAN ID for the 6950 EGS, you must change the LAN ID for the
wireless stations and the base radio to match before the wireless
station lets you log in again.

If you change the host name for the 6950 EGS, you must change
the host name for the wireless stations to match before the wireless
station lets you log in again.
The following chart describes the options.

Displays the type of network setting:
E = Ethernet
(default)
R = RSĆ232 serial communication

Lan
Displays the LAN ID. The default is 0 (zero). If you
are using a 2100 UAP or 6710 Access Point, use LAN
ID 0 for the 6950 EGS regardless of the access point's
LAN ID setting and type of radio (802.11, 2.4 GHz
OpenAir, 900 MHz, or synthesized UHF).
If you are using a 900 MHz RB4030 Base Radio, the
6950 EGS's LAN ID must match the base radio's LAN
ID.

NOTE: The wireless stations’ LAN ID must match
the LAN ID for the 2100 UAP, 6710 Access
Point, or RB4030 Base Radio regardless of
the type of radio in these devices.

Host
Displays the wireless network's host (controller)
name. The default is HOST."

NOTE: The host name is case sensitive. The
wireless stations must be configured to
match this host name.
