6950 Enterprise Gateway Server User’s Guide 7-3

Halting the 6950 EGS

To halt the 6950 EGS, you can simply power if off or you

can use the Control Menu. For information about the

power switch and applying power, see Section 3,

Installation." To use the Control Menu, see the following

instructions.

1. At the Control Menu, press 1" and then [Enter]. This

message appears:

Are you sure
you want to
shutdown?
(y/n)
–>

2. To cancel shutdown, press N" and then [Enter].

To shut down the 6950 EGS, press Y" and then

[Enter]. Please wait three minutes after selecting this

option before powering the 6950 EGS off.
The following messages appear as the 6950 EGS shuts

down. They are the last responses from the wireless

station:
