Dynamic sitting
Locking of the AKTIVLINE
®
mechanism in the pelvic
region incl. pelvis adjustment unit
The entire motion cycle of the shell is controlled via
the physiological pivotal points of the hip and knee
The seat and back unit are mounted on sliding bars
and allow opening of the hip angle to correspond to the
patient's motion sequences The knee-angle and foot
rest units permit simultaneous stretching tendencies
for the patient A readjusting spring system both in the
seat and the leg system returns the patient automati-
cally into the physiological starting position
Locking of the pelvic mechanism
Activate the pelvis mechanism (mobility in the hip
region) by pulling the snap locks on the back of the
AKTIVLINE
®
below the seat shell from the groove and
rotating them through
90
° However, sometimes, for
example during meals or transport, it is desirable to
keep the patient in a passive condition To deactivate
the pelvis mechanism, rotate the snap locks through
90
° and return them to their starting position until they
engage and the pelvis mechanism is is firmly locked
Important!
In case of a fault in the mobility of the
seat shell, always check the pelvis
mechanism first and then the foot rest
mechanism!

Foot rest system
The foot rest system of the AKTIVLINE
®
must be cus-
tomized to the lower leg length of the patient During
adjustment it must be ensured that the patient's feet
are comfortably positioned on the foot rest The foot
rest system of the AKTIVLINE
®
is available in both in-
dividual as well as single-piece design, a split version
must always be selected for a difference in leg length
of ?? cm
In order to adjust the foot rest system to the lower leg
length of the patient, release the screw on the clamp
block of the foot rest and shift the foot rest up or down,
as necessary, on the centered tubing of the foot rest
system; this also applies to the foot rest system with
individual foot supports Then tighten the screw after
the adjustment is complete
Calf support
Calf supports are already fitted ex-works
Foot rest retraction unit
The foot rest retraction unit is located at the foot rest
suspension and mounted under the seating unit The
stretching movement of the legs is restricted by a gas-
pressure spring, ie the gas-pressure spring restrains
stretching of the legs through resistance
If you wish to release the foot rest retraction unit to al-
low free movement for the patient's legs, then proceed
as follows:
The mounting of the foot rest retraction unit is fit-
ted to the foot rest tube
Release the quick pin by pressing the red button
and keeping it depressed During pressing, pull the
pin from the opening
This now hangs loosely attached to a suspension
If you wish to refit the foot rest retraction unit, hold
the gas-pressure spring into the eyelet, which is
attached to the middle tube of the foot rest, with
one hand
Then press the red button of the quick pin and
guide this into the opening/mounting intended for
this purpose
Pull slightly to check whether the quick pin has en-
gaged and whether stretching of the legs is again
restrained by the gas-pressure spring
Important!
Make sure that you do not stand or knee
directly in front of the foot rest during
assembly Sudden stretching movements by the
patient could result in your being kicked or injured
unexpectedly
Foot rest mechanism locking option
Activate the foot rest mechanism (mobility in the leg
area) by turning the clamp lever on the outside of the
