Please note that in choosing the ap-
propriate tire pressure you will need to
reach a compromise between riding comfort for
the patient (low air pressure) and pushing comfort
for accompanying persons (high air pressure)
It may be necessary to experiment here The
factory-assembled tires are delivered with an air

. General information on transport
Only the tested and approved wheelchair and occupant
restraint system from AMF-Bruns (Art No
75020
) may
be used for transporting the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system
in motor vehicles for the transportation of the disabled
In addition, a
4
-point restraint system from AMF-Bruns
(Art No
75021
) is required for transport in motor ve-
hicles The AKTIVLINE
®
seat system thus complies
with the requirements of DIN
75078
 For information
on how to correctly secure the force application point
system in the respective vehicle, please see the sepa-
rate manufacturer's instructions and the following
chapter

"Transport with an AMF force application
point system"
Warning!
Never secure the transport lock to the
frame or the back of the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system!

. Transport with an AMF force application point system
The AKTIVLINE
®
seat system was subjected to a crash
test as standard version with maximum fittings in ac-
cordance with ISO
7176
-
19
 This model is a custom-
made version and cannot be tested in a crash test
Nonetheless, the custom-made model is also fitted
with a force application point system manufactured
by AMF Bruns Further information is available at
wwwamf-brunsde
The wheelchair is marked on four points which indicate
the mounting points for the tension belts for trans-
portation with motor vehicles Only use the provided
mounting points for strapping with tension belts When
fitted correctly, the head rest of the AKTIVLINE
®
seat
system is very robust, but cannot replace head rests
fitted to motor vehicles
The AKTIVLINE
®
seat system has been testing without
an additional drive If an additional electrical drive is
to be added, then this accessory is to be disassembled
if the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system is to be transported in
a motor vehicle
Important!
Please also observe the AMF Bruns
operating guidelines

. Climbing stairs
Stairs or high curbs are only to be negotiated with the
assistance of two accompanying persons Assistants
are only permitted to grip the front frame tube and the
back brace of the frame, without lifting or carrying
the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system The anti-tipping device
must be retracted and secured When ascending, the
assistant behind the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system pulls
the wheelchair up the step The assistant at the front
stabilizes the position by pressing the AKTIVLINE
®
seat
system evenly into the steps on both sides When de-
scending, the assistant at the front brakes by pressing
the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system evenly into the steps The
assistant behind holds the back brace, and stabilizes
and maintains the wheelchair in the correct position
To prevent tire damage, slowly roll the AKTIVLINE
®
down the steps The anti-tipping system must then be
properly readjusted
Caution!
Do not hold the AKTIVLINE
®
seat system
by the push bar when negotiating stairs
Never lift the care system by the foot rest or the foot
supports or the arm rests or other attached parts
Do not lift the care system with the user sitting in it
