8.4.1. SYNERGY MODE’S SETTINGS MENU
When the unit is operating in SYNERGY mode, the settings menu allows you to select the type of consumable to be
welded as well as its size, material and gas shielding type.
In SYNERGY mode, the settings are selected in order from top to bottom:
1 - Electrode consumable type: studs, nails and rings, etc.
2 -
Electrode consumable size: Mx or Øx, etc.
3 - Electrode consumable material: Fe, FeCu or Al, etc.
4 - Gas shielding type: Ferrule, with or without gas shielding.
Note: When the welding is to be done under gas shielding, the gas displayed is the one that is recommended to
guarantee the durability of the weld (see section
5.3). If this is not possible, switching to MANUAL mode may be
necessary (see section
8
.2).

Setting order
Press the left-side + and - keys to move the left cursor and press the right-side + and - keys to change the values of
each item.
Pressing the Menu/Enter button
will confirm the SYNERGY mode settings and return the machine to the SYNERGY
mode welding screen.
Press the return button
to discard the settings and return to the main menu.
8.4.2. MANUAL MODE’S SETTINGS MENU
The settings menu allows all relevant welding parameter settings to be individually adjusted when the unit is operated
in MANUAL mode.

Pressing the left-side + and - keys highlights the selected parameter setting. Pressing the right-side + and - buttons
will change the value of this setting.

Digital ‘flex’ spring:
•
Releases (ON) or locks (OFF) the electrode holder’s drive shaft when the consumable comes into contact with the
support plate.
• Activating this function is recommended for all consumables, except for pulling rings.
