TRANSPORTING AND MOVING THE WELDING POWER SOURCE
The source of the welding current is equipped with a top handle enabling it to be carried by hand. Be careful not to underestimate
its weight. Do not use the handle to hang the device off the ground.
Do not use the cables or torch to move the welding machine’s power source. It must be transported in an upright position.
Do not pass the welding machine’s power source over people or objects.
Never lift a gas cylinder and the welding machine’s power source at the same time. They have different transportation requirements.
SETTING UP THE EQUIPMENT
• Place the source of the welding current on a surface with a maximum inclination of 10°.
• The source of the welding current must be protected from heavy rain and must not be exposed to direct sunlight.
• The equipment has an IP33 protection rating, meaning:
- protected against dangerous solid bodies with a diameter >2.5 mm from entering the machine.
- protected against rain falling at an angle of 60° to the vertical.
This equipment can, therefore, be used outdoors in accordance with its IP33 protection rating.
Stray welding currents can destroy earthing conductors and damage electrical equipment and devices as well as cause
components to overheat, which can lead to fire.
- All welding connections must be properly connected, and should be checked regularly.
- Make sure that the part’s mounting system is robust and without any electrical problems.
- Attach or suspend all of the welding machine’s electrically conductive parts, such as the frame, trolley and lifting systems to ensure that they are
properly insulated.
- Do not place other equipment (such as drills or grinding devices, etc.) on top of the welding machine’s power source, trolley or lifting systems unless
they are properly insulated.
- Always place welding torches or electrode holders on an insulated surface when not in use.
Power, extension and welding cables should be fully unwound to avoid overheating.
The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for damage to persons and objects caused by improper or dangerous use of this
equipment.
MAINTENANCE / ADVICE
• Maintenance should only be carried out by a qualified technician. Annual maintenance is recommended.
• Switch off the power supply by disconnecting the plug and wait for a further two minutes before carrying out any work on the
equipment. The voltages and currents inside the appliance are high and dangerous.
• Regularly check the power cable’s condition. In order to avoid danger, the power cable must be replaced by the manufacturer, their after-sales
service department or a similarly qualified technician if it becomes damaged.
• Do not use this welding equipment for thawing pipes, recharging batteries/accumulators or starting engines.
