6.8. DIFFICULT-ACCESS STUD HOLDER BOX (P.N. 070813)
Note 1: Prepare the earth pins as explained in section 6.1.
Note 2: Prepare the stud support as explained in section 6.2.
Note 3: Choose the appropriate gun to suit the material of the consumable to be welded. The engraved barrel of a
is not suitable for welding aluminium parts.
Remove the knurled nut (no. 2 - Fig. 2) from
the gun’s drive shaft and screw in the stud
support.
Gently screw the gas shielding nozzle onto
the stud support, insert the stud support
until it can in no further and tighten the gas
shielding nozzle.
Assemble the rod-installation barrel with
the pad (pay attention to the positioning of
the holes) and fit the entire assembly to the
gun’s rods.
Loosen the gun’s locking knob (n°3 - Fig 2).
Adjust the barrel so that the tip of the ri-
vet-extraction rod protrudes slightly (0.5 - 2
mm) and tighten the gun’s locking knob.

7. HANDLING THE GUN
7.1. WELDING PULLING RINGS
1. Attach the pulling ring holder (see section 6.3).
2. Strip away the paint where the welding is to be carried out.
3. Select the correct synergy for the pulling ring to be welded.
4. Connect the gun’s negative dinse connection to the welding machine (do
not use a earthing clamp).

To use in MANUAL mode: Set the digital «flex» spring to OFF (see section
8.4.2).
