2.9.1
4807 GPIB Connections
4807 connector J3 is a 26-pin connector that contains the GPIB Address
Switch input signals as well as the GPIB bus signals. Connector J3 mates
with ICS's GPIB Connector/Address Switch Board Assemblies.
The GPIB Connector/Address Switch Assemblies are small, business card
size PC assemblies that mount a GPIB connector and an 8-bit Address
rocker switch to the rear panel of a chassis. The assemblies are available in
two layout styles as shown in Appendix A3. Figure 2-6 shows the J2
connector layout and address switch rockers. Table 2-1 lists the header
signal-pin assignments.
Use the
SYST:COMM:GPIB:ADDR:EXT 1
command to configure the
4807 to read the external address switch. The 4807 reads the external
address switch at power turn-on time. Always reset or cycle the 4807 off
and back on after changing the address switch setting.
