Power Distribution Assembly
Attention: Note the bay locations of all disk drives in each bank before you attempt
to remove them from the drawer.
Removal
1. Remove the power supplies, as described in “Power Supplies and Power Supply
Fan Assemblies” on page 7-19.
2. Place the drawer in the rear service position, as described in “Rear Service
Position” on page 7-23.
3. Remove the two screws holding the central electronics complex (CEC) in posi-
tion.
4. Slide the CEC back no more than 2 inches (50mm). To slide the CEC out more
may cause damage to some cables.
Note: Do not replace the rear covers at this time.
5. Slide the drawer back into the rack unit.
6. Place the drawer in the front service position, as described in “Front Service
Position” on page 7-43.
7. Note the locations of the cables that attach to the power distribution card.
8. Disconnect the cables that attach to the power distribution assembly.
9. Remove the six screws that hold the power distribution assembly in place.
