If your layout requires a 305mm rise at any point use a 2440mm post to eliminate head
-
traps,
gates and barriers can be flipped or lifted to achieve the riser feature without moving the
eyebolts or hanging brackets (although a second set of slam brackets do need to be added to
the post to suit a rise). See Fig 9
2.3.1.
Post height out of ground parameters.
The AG
-
fit
range of gates and barriers are designed to
hang at 1525mm as standard (with NO optional rise), post
length must be 2135mm with equipment flush with the
top of the post. See Fig 7

POST DEPTH INTO GROUND
:
To ensure posts have adequate support set
posts hanging/slamming gates or barriers
610mm deep in a 460mm cube of concrete
as shown in Fig 7

HEAD
-
TRAPS:
Technically it is possible to flip the gates or
barriers hanging at 1525mm to create a
305mm rise, however we DO NOT advise
this set
-
up due to the increased risk of
head
-
traps occurring. See Fig 8
