Creating Connections
IBM 5250 Model:
Select the model type in the list box.
IBM 5250 Monochrome:
Check the box if a monochrome monitor is attached.
Left Ctrl acts as Reset Key:
If using the I-O 122-key 5250 Thin Client Keyboard, check this box.
If using a standard 104/105 Windows keyboard, check this box if desired.
Right Ctrl acts as Enter :
If using the I-O 122-key 5250 Thin Client Keyboard, check this box. If
using a standard 104/105 Windows keyboard, check this box if desired.
Carriage Return acts as Enter :
Check this box if desired.
Operating Language:
Specify the language to be used in all menus and dialog boxes by making
a selection in the list at the bottom of the dialog box.
Click
Ok
to continue.
4. On the Host Information screen, host connection information will be entered. .
TCP/IP:
Select this radio button for an Ethernet connection,
Modem:
Refer to the Terminal Emulation User’s Guide for detailed instructions.
Serial:
Refer to the Terminal Emulation User’s Guide for detailed instructions.
Host Name:
Enter IP address of the host computer, or if available, enter the DNS/WINS name of
the host computer.
Host Rollover On Connection Fail:
Check this box if there are alternate hosts that the thin client
is to attempt to connect to if the primary host is not available. The screen will be changed to display
additional host field. Enter the IP Address or DNS/WINS address of each alternate host.
5. Click
Advanced
. The TCP/IP Telnet Configuration dialog-box is displayed. After configuring these
advanced TCP/IP settings, click
OK
to return to the Host Information dialog-box, and then click
Next
