1.
CNC traverses to next piercing position.
2.
CNC issues a CYCLE-START-IN to THC.
3.
THC issues a PLASMA-START-OUT to plasma power supply.
4.
Preflow completes.
5.
Torch fires and arc transfers to workpiece.
6.
Plasma power supply issues TRANSFER-OUT signal to THC.
7.
Programmed pierce delay signal elapses. THC issues PIERCE-COMPLETE-OUT signal to
plasma power supply; and THC issues MACHINE-MOTION-OUT signal to CNC to begin
profiling part.
8.
At end of part profile, CNC releases CYCLE-START-IN signal to THC. Torch position freezes
until arc has extinguished (until plasma power supply transfer signal is released to THC.)
Manual mode time-line
Start
Cycle completed, return to Start for next cycle.
Note: At any time, the operator can manually jog the torch position up or down using the increment/arrow
up or decrement/arrow down keys.
