4.8.2. Mast positioning
WARNING!
Do not position the mast in any way if correct machine stability has not been verified.
The operator must always be aware of the configurations that the machine can assume.

Check that there are no obstructions to raising the mast and to drilling such as overhead
electrical lines or underground pipelines.
Marking off the work area is the responsibility of the site foreman. Keep in mind the that the
hazardous area differs depending on the various positions of the mast during work,
movement or assembly phases
Check mast movement to prevent it from interfering with the following elements:

parts of the machine
-
bundles of hoses
-
ground
-
other worksite equipment
To avoid intereference between the rotary
head carriages and area (A) of the machine,
the following requirements must be complied
with:
- before lowering the mast place the rotation
head trolley and the mast as shown;
- use the mast sliding cylinder when the
mast is in the vertical position;
- use translation of the rotary heads when
the mast is in the vertical position.
