AIR FILTER CHECK
- Turn the rear fixing (1) counter clockwise, remove it
and extract the saddle.
- Disconnect the battery cables (2) and (3) and remove
the battery (4).
- Lift the engine oil reservoir (5).
- Undo the screw (6) and remove the filter (7).
- Detach the filter (7) from the subframe (8).
AIR FILTER AND CLEANING
Wash the filter with a specific detergent (CASTROL FOAM
AIR FILTER CLEANER or similar) then dry it fully (wash
filter with gasoline only in case of necessity).
Plunge the filter in special oil for filters (CASTROL FOAM
AIR FILTER OIL or similar) then wring it to drain superflu-
ous oil.
CAUTION*: Do not use gasoline or a low
flash-point solvent to clean the element.
A fire or explosion could result.
CAUTION*: Clean the element in a well
ventilated area, and do not allow sparks
or flames anywhere near the working
area.
