Stand the vehicle upright.

Remove screw cap
with membrane
.

Press the brake caliper onto the brake disc by hand in order to push back the brake
piston. Ensure that brake fluid does not flow out of the brake fluid reservoir, extracting
it by suction if it does.
Info
Make sure when pushing back the brake piston that you do not press the
brake caliper against the spokes.

Remove cotter pin
, remove pin
toward the left by striking it, and remove the
brake linings.

Clean the brake caliper and brake caliper support.

Check that leaf spring
in the brake caliper and sliding plate
in the brake caliper
support are seated correctly.

Insert the new brake linings, insert the pin, and mount the cotter pins.
Info
Always change the brake linings in pairs.

Operate the foot brake lever repeatedly until the brake linings are in contact with the
brake disc and there is a pressure point.
