Item Description
Primary Server Specify whether SIMs are reported to syslogs in the primary server.
• Enable: SIMs are reported to syslogs in the primary server.
• Disable: SIMs are not reported to syslogs in the primary server.
Primary Server - IP
Address Specify an IP address of the primary syslog server. You can specify an IPv4
address or an IPv6 address.
• To specify an IPv4 address, select IPv4 and enter 4 numbers (0-255).For
example:XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (X indicates a digit)
• To specify an IPv6 address, select IPv6 and enter 8 hexadecimal numbers
(0-FFFF).For example:YYYY:YYYY:YYYY:YYYY:YYYY:YYYY:YYYY:YYYY
(Y indicates a hexadecimal digit)
Primary Server - Port
Number Enter a port number of the primary syslog server. The default port number is
displayed. You can also specify any port number.
Secondary Server Specify whether SIMs are reported to syslogs in the secondary server.
• Enable: SIMs are reported to syslogs in the secondary server.
• Disable: SIMs are not reported to syslogs in the secondary server.
Secondary Server - IP
Address Specify an IP address of the secondary syslog server. You can specify an
IPv4 address or an IPv6 address.
• To specify an IPv4 address, select IPv4 and enter 4 numbers (0-255).For

Location Identification
Name Specify any name to identify the storage system that notifies the syslog server
of SIMs.Up to 32 letters and numbers of ASCII code characters and the
following symbols can be specified:! " # $ % and ' ( ) = - ~ ^ | \ { } [ ] @ ` : ; * +
_ ? / < > .You cannot specify commas (,) and spaces.
Send a test message If this is checked, test SIMs are reported to syslogs as you configure the
servers.
