REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
System Board
To remove the system board:
1
Disconnect power from the system (
page 73
), remove the access panel (
page 77
), lay the
workstation on its side with the system board facing up, remove all expansion boards and graphics
cards (
page 97
), and remove the processor heatsink (
page 88
).

Disconnect all cabling from the system board to disengage the plastic mounting standoffs from the
chassis.
NOTE
Make note of the cable connections before disconnecting them from the system board.

Press the release tab

as shown in the following illustration.

Slide the board

toward the front of the chassis and then lift it out of the unit.
To replace the system board:
1
Lay the system board back in the chassis slightly away from the rear of the chassis. The mounting
hooks should fall into the recesses of the tray so the tray lays flat on the chassis base.

Slide the tray towards the rear of the chassis until the heat sink mounting holes line up.
3
Re-install the heatsink, cards, and cables.
