Operating system and multipath support
The mpx110 gateway is supported using FCIP with all operating systems and multipath software
supported by HP for Continuous Access EVA (see
Table 148 ).
EVA storage system rules
The EVA storage system rules follow:
• The mpx110 gateway configured for FCIP is supported for use with Continuous Access EVA XL
4000/4100/6000/6100/6400/8000/8100/8400 using XCS 6 or 09
x . x , EVA4400 using
XCS 09 x , and EVA GL 3000/5000 using VCS 4.0 xx or 4.1 xx .
• The mpx110 gateway is supported for use in all HP-supported Continuous Access EVA

configurations, including the standard two-fabric, five-fabric, and six-fabric configurations. See
the Continuous Access EVA documentation for more information.
• FCIP is supported for Continuous Access EVA RCS and non-RCS LUNs.
• Supports the minimum IP bandwidth/maximum DR groups (see Table 159 through Table 163 ).
XP storage system rules
The XP storage system rules follow:
• The mpx110 gateway configured for FCIP is supported for use with XP Continuous Access

• Supported XP models are XP24000/20000 and XP12000/10000, using 60 x and 50 x firmware
levels respectively. Contact your HP-authorized representative for supported firmware versions.
• The mpx110 gateway is supported for use in all HP-supported XP Continuous Access FCIP

configurations. See the XP Continuous Access documentation for more information.
• Requires a minimum IP bandwidth of 16 Mb/s per path.
• See Table 176 on page 349 for additional requirements.
XP storage system software
The mpx110 gateway is supported with XP storage software applications, such as XP Continuous
Access, Command View XP, XP Continuous Access Journal, Business Copy XP, and XP Array Manager.
Fibre Channel switch and firmware support
The mpx110 is supported with Fibre Channel switches (see Table 148 ).
MPX200 Multifunction Router with FCIP
The HP MPX200 Multifunction Router provides Fibre Channel SAN extension over an IP network.
Used in conjunction with the EVA family of storage systems and Continuous Access EVA software,
the MPX200 enables long-distance remote replication for disaster tolerance.
