Insert the power supply into the power supply bay until it clicks into place.
4.
Connect the power cord to the power supply.
5.
For rack servers, use the strain relief clip from the server hardware kit to secure the power cord.
6.
Connect the power cord to the power source.
7.
Be sure that the power supply LED is green.
Hot-plug SAS drive options
When adding drives to the server, observe the following general guidelines:
•
The system automatically sets all device numbers.
•
If only one drive is used, install it in the bay with the lowest device number ("
SAS and SATA device
numbers
" on page
15
).
•
Drives should be the same capacity to provide the greatest storage space efficiency when drives are
grouped together into the same drive array.
