Lift the processor-heatsink module up and away from the system board.

Turn the module over and place it on a work surface with the processor facing up.

Install the dust cover.

Install the processor heatsink assembly:
a.
Remove the dust cover.
b.
Locate the Pin 1 indicator on the processor frame and the socket.
c.
Align the processor heatsink assembly with the alignment pins and gently lower it down until it sits
evenly on the socket.
The heatsink alignment pins are keyed. The processor will only install one way.
A standard heatsink is shown. Your heatsink might look different.
