If y ou are running updist :
During updist , the HP9000 Series (300 or 800) eld indicates
the t yp e of system les (300 or 800) y ou w an t to load. The
default display ed is the arc hitecture of the system where up date
is b eing run.
The update and updist programs do not distinguish b et w een
Series 700 and 800 softw are, so if y ou are on a Series 700
system, y ou will see 800 display ed. A netdist serv er can b e
congured to oer an y com bination of 300, 700, or 800 lesets.
During updist (used when y ou're setting up a netdist serv er),
this eld is alwa ys display ed, since y ou may w an t to load les
of either 300, 700, or 800 arc hitecture for redistribution via
netdist .
8. F rom the Main Men u, c ho ose what softw are y ou wish to load from y our
up date source media. The c hoices are:
Select All Filesets on the Source Media ->
Selecting this item directs up date to automatically select ev ery leset on the
source. Y ou will then see the \Select All . . . " screen app ear. If y ou wish to
examine the lesets selected for loading c ho ose \View P artitions and Filesets
b efore Loading." Y ou can make adjustmen ts to lesets marked for loading,
deselecting those y ou don't w an t.
Select Only Filesets Curren tly on Y our System ->
Selecting this item causes up date to automatically select lesets from the
source that match the functionalit y already existing on y our system.
T o match the functionalit y on y our system, update surv eys the
/etc/filesets directory on the destination system and selects from the
source new lesets whose names match those in /etc/filesets .

Selecting this item directs up date to adv ance y ou to the \Select/View
P artitions and Filesets" screen. Y ou can use this screen to tailor the
functionalit y loaded on to y our system.
