HP 85106D mm-Wave System

Operation
System Description
The second source provides the LO for the four harmonic mixers. This
LO source is set so that the mm-wave RF test signal frequency and the
appropriate LO harmonic are offset by exactly 20 MHz. The system time
base obtained from one synthesized source is used by the other synthesized
source in the HP 8510. The resulting 20 MHz IF signals are amplified and
then applied to the HP 8510 IF/detector section for routing to either the
normal or optional wideband IF section for detection, post-processing, and
display.
