Performance Verification

Installation of HP-BASIC and Performance Verification Software

Installing on an
HP 300 Series
Controller

The performance verification software runs on most HP 200 and HP 300
series (except for HP 9826) controllers and requires at least two megabytes
of memory to run the program.

1. Load HP BASIC (rev 5.0 or later), and make sure the following

language extension and driver files are installed one at a time.

Insert the HP 8510C Specification and Verification software disk
(LIF format) into the default drive (or the drive you specify as the MSI
(mass storage is).

•

Load the file by typing:

LOAD “SPECS_8510”

RETURN

] or [

EXECUTE

]

2. Type:

RUN

This will start the program.

For Both PC and
HP 300 Controller

After the program is started:

1. The display allows you to set the date and time.

At this point, you may press the controller “Y”' key to continue, or you press
the controller "N" key and set the date and time. When your entries are
complete, press [

RETURN

] or [

ENTER

].

2. The program loads the System Configuration file and System Hardware

Configuration Menu is displayed. Use this menu to select the system
equipment you want to use.
