3.Maintenance
Although the roughening cutter is suffi-
ciently durable, it will need to be replaced
when the book spine is coarse or when the
speed of rotation slows markedly.
NOTE
This cutter is reversible.
WARNINGS
-Turn off the main power before re-
placing the roughening cutter.
- Wear leather or other thick material
gloves when replacing the roughening
cutter.
- The roughening cutter may spring out
when the fixing screw is loosened, so
place a cloth over the cutter before
loosening the fixing screw.

Turn off power switch.
2.
Remove the two roughening guides (2
fixing screws each).
3.
Remove the cover (4 fixing screws).
4.
Loosen the locking screw with a hex
wrench placing a thick cloth over the
cutter. And remove the cutter.
5.
Refit the existing cutter upside down or
replace it with a new cutter.
NOTE
- Fit the roughening cutter to the rotor so
that the plane part of the cutter faces to the
out side.
6.
Position the roughening cutter temporarily
at base of the cutter hole.
7.
Fit the rear roughening giude.
8.
Locate the roughening cutter just under
the edge of the roughening guide by
rotating the rotor by hand.
