1. Before You Begin
Stop Button
Pressing this button will bring the
clamper and roughening cutter to a halt.

1-2-2 Operation Panel
Roughening Cutter Monitor Lamp
This lamp lights when the roughening cutter
stopped between the two roughening cutter
guides. Binding without roughening cannot
be performed when lamp is on. If this lamp
lights, operate the roughening cutter ON/
OFF switch several times to change the
roughening cutter position until this lamp
goes out.
Power Switch
The power lamp lights when the
power switch is turned on.
Standby Lamp
This lamp lights when the machine is at standby.
Standby Switch
The state of the machine (standby or in
operation) is selected with this switch. When
the machine is not going to be operated for
two hours or more, select the standby mode.
Start Lamp
This lamp lights when the
machine starts operating.
Nipping Time Control Knob
The length of nipping time is adjustable with
this knob.This knob is normally turned
clockwise for binding a thick book or with a
hard cover.
Binding Mode Select Switch
The binding mode can be selected with this
switch.
Left side : Binding without a cover
(Padding)
Right side : Binding with a cover or tape

Clamper Close Button
Pressing this button closes the
clamper.
Binding Start Button
When the start lamp is lit and
this button is pressed, the
clamper starts traveling.
Clamper Open Button
Pressing this button opens the clamper.
Roughening Cutter ON/
OFF Switch
Binding with/without rough-
ening can be selected with
this switch.
Left side: Binding without
roughening
Right side: Binding with
roughening
Reset Lamp
Reset Button
If the stop button has been pressed and
the clamper stopped at an intermediate
position of its travel, pressing this button
returns the clamper to the home position.
