End of service life
The BMS determines among others the end of service life of the battery system. In the
process, the calendar-based and usage-based ageing (represented by the calculated SOH -
state of health as well as the charge / discharge cycles) is taken into consideration. If the
end of service life is reached, the battery system is shut down. The battery then can neither
be charged nor discharged. An appropriate message is output on the display unit. The end
of service life is reached when the SOH is at 0%. In this condition the battery storage
system has left 70% of its initial capacity.
