7.3.
Connecting the battery stacks electrically
DANGER!
The battery stacks with apparent signs of damage should not be connected to the BMS (see also
chapter 3.7.1)!
Defective batteries may reach conditions that are critical to safety. As a consequence of this, the
batteries may burst or catch fire and hazardous decomposition products may be formed. In case
liquid or gaseous substances are leaking, leave the room immediately and alert the fire brigade
(see also chapter 3.6).
WARNING!
The battery terminals or the associated connecting cables must not be grounded.
WARNING!
Use only insulated tools (see chapter 6.2).
1. Connect the minus terminals of the lower battery stack (right side) with the
connecting cable marked in blue colour.
2. To install the connector, the plastic cover of the battery stack must be folded up.
3. Fasten the connector with a flat washer and M6 nut to the screw terminals of the
battery stack. The tightening torque is 5 Nm (see Figure 16).
