To erase the hard drive:

following warnings displays. Click OK to start the erase procedure.

takes approximately ten seconds to do a

When the recorder starts a full disk erase, it
remains powered while it completes the
erase activity, regardless of any wakeup
condition. The Record LED on the front
panel blinks rapidly to indicate that a full
disk erase is in progress. This can take at
least 4.5 hours depending on the capacity
of the hard drive.
