10. Use the player controls to start viewing the clip.
Modifying Your Search Criteria
To modify your search criteria, select the criteria you wish to modify (underlined text)
and use the editing buttons described in
Table 8-3 on page 91 . We recommend that
you familiarize yourself with the acceptable search criteria combinations listed in
Table 8-4 on page 95 .
Example 1
To edit date and time criteria, click the date and time text in the Summary area. The
blue text changes to red. You can then:
• Click Edit to modify that criteria.
To undo the edit, click Discard to abort the edit.
To update the edit, click Update.
• Click Remove to delete that criteria.
Example 2
To change all the AND operators within the Summary area, select any instance of
AND (all the similar fields change to red text) and then click the AND toggle button to
change all instances to OR.
Playing Clips
You can play clips:
• Directly from an HTRD400 Recorder
• Previously saved to a PC or laptop
Playing Clips From the HTRD400 Recorder
1. Connect a PC to the COMPUTER port on the HTRD400 Recorder front panel using a
CAT5 Ethernet crossover cable.
2. Press POWER on the recorder front panel.
3. Start the Player application. The recorder name appears on the Recorders tab of the
Explorer Pane. This may take up to a minute, depending on your PC.
4. Select the recorder and click Connect (or double-click the recorder name). A list of
clips shows under the recorder name.
