Check whether the overload indicator is ON when
the engine stops.
Go to page 4-5
Loosen the drain screw and check whether fuel is
reaching the carburetor.
Is it reaching the carburetor?
Check the cylinder compression (page 14-5). Check for carbon deposits in the combustion
chamber (page 14-3).
Check around the air intake joint and carburetor,
replace the insulator and/or gasket if necessary.

Drain the fuel tank and carburetor and refill with
fresh fuel.
Check for secondary air entering. Is it normal?
Check the fuel. Is it fresh?
• Check the valve clearance (page 3-7).
• Check that the cylinder head is correctly
tightened (page 14-3).
• Check for defective cylinder head gasket, valves
or valve seats (page 14-3, 4, 5 and 6).
• Check for worn piston, piston rings or cylinder
(page 15-5, 6, 7, 8 and 9).
• Check for blockage of the fuel tank tube, fuel
cock tube, fuel strainer and fuel strainer screen.
• Adjust the cock cable (page 6-19).
Does the breather heater equip to the generator?
