• Connect the 120 Volt AC shore power.
• Open the LP-Gas valves at the LP tanks.
• Connect the fresh water supply and the water systems if necessary.
• If applicable, start the refrigerator, water heater and furnace.
NOTE:
In extreme cases the use of leveling ramps under the tires may be necessary to level the
recreational vehicle.
lanDing legS (fifth wheel)
The landing legs of the fifth wheel are intended for positioning the fifth wheel during hook-up and unhooking
from the tow vehicle. The landing legs also support the fifth wheel during camping and storage. The level of the
fifth wheel provides comfort for the user and allows the refrigerator to operate properly. The legs are not designed
for the sole support of the fifth wheel weight during tire changes or servicing.
CAUTION:
The landing leg weight rating is 5,000 lbs. per leg. DO NOT exceed the weight rating.
NOTE:
The legs may bind in overload conditions. This will result in premature wear of the drive
gear and stripping of the gear. Premature gear wear will also occur with excessive clutching
of the motor. This occurs at maximum extension and retraction. Once clutch noise is heard,
release the switch.
Landing Legs Operation:
After coupling fifth wheel to tow vehicle is complete, raise
landing legs until lock pins near the end of the outside tubes.
Release the lock pins, raise the drop tubes and engage lock pins
so that drop tubes are in the highest possible positions. The fifth
wheel is now ready to be towed.
To uncouple the fifth wheel, position landing legs
approximately 8” below the bottom edge of the outer tube. This
allows movement for leveling. Release the lock pins and lower
drop tubes so that foot pads contact the ground. Engage the lock
pins in the holes that place the foot pads nearest to the ground.
Lower legs to uncouple the fifth wheel.
To Lower Legs with Electric Motor (Optional):
Push the switch, located at the front of the fifth wheel, to the extend
position and hold until the landing legs raise the fifth wheel to the desired
height. Extend and retract indicate the travel direction of the legs, not the
fifth wheel.
To Raise Legs with with Electric Motor (Optional):
Push the switch, located at the front of the fifth wheel, to the retract
position and hold until the legs are fully retracted. Release the toggle switch
as the lock pins in the inner ram tube nears the end of the outside tubes to
avoid unnecessary wear on the motor clutch.
