Savoy SL & LX 5th Wheel & Travel Trailer
6. Locate the monitor panel inside the recreational vehicle. Press the button marked “Fresh” for testing the
level in the fresh water tank. Read the scale as the fresh water tank is filling. When the 2/3 tank light
illuminates, filling of the tank should be nearly complete. Do not leave the recreational vehicle
unattended while filling the fresh water tank. The light marked “F” will illuminate, indicating the fresh
water tank is nearly full. When the fresh water tank is full, water will flow out an overflow tube under
the recreational vehicle.
7. Turn off water supply as quick as possible. When connecting the recreational vehicle to fresh water, use a
hose manufactured and labeled for potable water to ensure that the hose will not flavor the water.
Water - City hook-UP
1. It is recommended to install a pressure regulator in the water line.
2. Connect water hose to the city water valve on the roadside of the recreational vehicle.
3. Connect the hose labeled for potable water to the water source.
4. Turn on water at the source.
5. The water pump can either be OFF or ON. The water pump is unaffected if left on.
6. It may be necessary to open each faucet, one at a time, to rid the pipes of trapped air.
CAUTION:
Some water sources develop high water pressure, particularly in
mountainous regions. High water pressure is anything over 55 psi (pounds
per square inch). Excessive water pressure may cause leaks in water lines
and/or damage the water heater. The recreational vehicle does come with a
pressure regulator.
Water PUmP
The water pump pressurizes the fresh water system when the recreational vehicle is not connected to city
water. The water pump is totally automatic and self-priming, operating on demand as water is used. The water
pump is located in the front compartment of the fifth wheels and under the vanity in the bathroom on the travel
trailers. Inlet screen should be serviced once a year or when water ouput becomes restricted.
WARNING:
Before leaving recreational vehicle overnight or longer, ensure city water and water pumps
are turned off. Neglectful damage is the owner’s responsibility, not the manufacturer’s.
The water pump is operated by the water pump switch, (ON or OFF)
located on the interior monitor panel. Do not allow the pump to run with
an empty fresh water supply tank. Operation with a dry tank may open an
electrical circuit and/or damage the water pump.
CAUTION:
Do not continue water pump operation when fresh water
holding tank is empty. Damage to the water pump or
electrical supply system may result.
