2.3 Details of Operation Keys, etc.
2 - 8
2.3.2 RETURN Key
This key is used to return the sample in the flow cell to a test tube
again after measurement. Pressing the key turns the RETURN key
light on. Pushing the sipping lever while the RETURN key light is on
runs the pump in reverse direction, and the sample is drained from
the sipper nozzle. Approximately 70% of the sipped amount will be
drained. To cancel the return operation, press the RETURN key
again.
NOTE:
Use the RETURN key only when the following conditions
are met. If the RETURN key is pressed when the following
conditions are not fulfilled, pushing the sipping lever does
not activate the pump but only turns the RETURN key light
on.
<Operating conditions of the RETURN key>
- The measurement screen is displayed.
- Air Purge is set at 0 second.
- Sipping of the sample has been processed by pushing
the sipping lever before pressing the RETURN key.
2.3.3 WASH Key
Pressing the WASH key starts the peristaltic pump to rotate and turns
the WASH key light on. The pump rotation caused by the pressing of
the WASH key continues while the key is pressed, regardless of the
settings of Sipping Time or Air Purge. This key is used for cleaning
inside of the flow cell or for pre-conditioning the peristaltic tube after
setting.
