(3) Reinstall of updates

Perform the following procedure to reinstall updates

1. Open Control Panel, and then click

Uninstall a program

2. The

Programs and Features

window opens. Click

View installed updates.

3. The

Installed Updates

window opens. On this window, select

Update for Microsoft

Windows (KB4039396)

, and then click

Uninstall

Uninstall an update

dialog box appears. In this dialog box, click

Yes

5. A dialog box "Please wait while the updates…" is displayed to indicate that updates are

being uninstalled.

6. After uninstall has been completed, a window is displayed to indicate restart. On this

window, click

Restart Now

7. After the OS has started, set the last disc of the recovery DVD (second disc in the case

of two-disc sets, the third disc in a case of three-disc sets).

8. Execute the following command from the Command Prompt as administrator.

Notes: Specify the DVD drive letter for d: (assuming [d] in the command example).
