Maintenance
This section provides information for basic maintenance. Studio Color does not
require regular maintenance besides lamp changes and cleaning. If other maintenance
is required, refer servicing to a qualified technician.
Replacing the Lamp
To replace the lamp, follow the procedures outlined in "Lamp Installation" on page 1-7.
Cleaning
You should clean your Studio Color on a regular basis. Dust, dirt, and smoke (cigarette
and oil-based fog fluid) can accumulate and cause malfunctions.
Warnings: Do not submerse in liquid. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
Servicing should only be conducted by a qualified technician. If any liquid
(soda, beer, etc.) has been spilled on or into the Studio Color, contact High
End Systems technical support before attempting to service the fixture.
Disconnect the fixture from power before cleaning. Exterior surfaces can
reach 140° C. Wait five minutes before touching any surface
.
Exterior
To clean the exterior surfaces:
•
Wipe with a soft damp cloth or tissue, or use a small vacuum to remove any built-
up dust and dirt. Do not use a blower, as this will force dirt into the fixture.
•
For stubborn substances (grime and serious build up), use Industrial Strength
Green 409™ cleaner (sparingly) and a soft cloth.
