Important Safety Information
Warning: For Continued Protection Against Fire
1. This equipment is designed for use with Phillips Type MSR 575/2 or MSD 575
lamp only. Use of any other type lamp may be hazardous and will void the war-
ranty.
2. Do not mount on a flammable surface.
3. Maintain minimum distance of 1.0 meter (3.28 feet) from combustible materials.
4. Replace fuses only with the specified type and rating.
5. Observe minimum distance to lighted objects of 1.0 meter (3.28 feet).
6. This equipment for connection to branch circuit having a maximum overload pro-
tection of 20 A.
Warning: For Continued Protection Against Electric Shock
1. If this equipment was received without a line cord plug, attach the appropriate line
cord plug according to the following code:
•
brown–live
•
blue–neutral
•
green/yellow–earth
2. As the colours of the cores in the mains lead of this equipment may not correspond
with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as fol-
lows:
•
the core which is coloured green and yellow must be connected to
the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter E or by the
earth symbol
, or coloured green or green and yellow.
•
the core which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
•
the core which is coloured brown must be connected to the termi-
nal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
3.
Class I equipment. This Equipment Must Be Earthed.
4. Disconnect power before re-lamping or servicing.
5. Equipment suitable for dry locations only. Do not expose this equipment to rain or
moisture.
6. Refer servicing to qualified personnel; no user serviceable parts inside.

(UV) Radiation
1. Do not operate this equipment without complete lamp enclosure in place or if
shields, lenses, or ultraviolet screens are damaged.
2. Change shields, lenses, or ultraviolet screens if they have become visibly damaged
to such an extent that their effectiveness is impaired, for example by cracks or deep
scratches.
3. Never look directly at the lamp while lamp is on.
