Appendix A Cutting & Soldering Transmission Line
A.1 Suggested Cutting And Soldering Procedure
The purpose for this procedure is to provide guidelines for field cutting and soldering of
RF transmission line used to interconnect the transmitter to the RF system.
Try to cut and flange the longest pieces first. Complete one run at a time in order to
avoid accumulated errors. (i.e.: Cut, solder, and hang line from antenna port of
Bandpass filter to patch panel. Then cut, solder, and hang line from the Amplifier
output to the input port of the Bandpass filter.)
Listed in Table A-1 are some tools and materials that have proven effective for RF Feed
Line Construction.
