EMOVAL
The bag pins are the two 0.50 x 0.305 in. cylindrical stubs on the top front of the
shroud. They secure the blood bag and/or certified calibration weight in the
proper position for high accuracy dynamic weight measurement. Damage
requiring replacement of the bag pins is extremely rare, and is usually the result
of cleaning with improper chemicals.
The pins may be removed by holding the exposed top portion of the pin with a
pair of soft jawed pliers, while unscrewing the ¼ in. 20 x 0.38 in. pan head
phillips screw from the inside of the Shaker. Retain all mounting hardware (the
screws and washers or backing plate) to install a new pin in this shroud, or to
reinstall the old pin in a new shroud.
