2.1 Introduction
The GUINAZ Smartive 7" interior monitor is a touch device based on the Android operative system that can
be embedded on a home wall for instance, together with the rest of GUINAZ items provided in the
installation kit.
It is recommended to install the monitors in locations where the calls can be heard throughout the home
and away from heat sources (radiators, heaters, etc.) or harsh environments (kitchen, etc.).
The monitor is provided with the Android system already installed, together with the latest version of the
intercom GUINAZ application so the installer is only concerned with fixing it to the wall, connecting the
power and data network, and configuring the monitor itself with the touch screen, according to the process
described next.
The instructions in this manual must be followed as described to ensure the correct fitting and
commissioning of the Smartive interior monitor
2.2 Connections
The Smartive 7" monitor requires power (either through a +5V source or using the RJ45 network connector
for the PoE system) and it also requires a RJ45 connection to an Ethernet network. Depending on the
installation and the client needs, GUINAZ shall provide the power sources or PoE switches and injectors
required according to the order.
The monitor connections must be completed before fixing it to the wall base, as it is necessary to access
the appropriate connectors on the back of the monitor through the gap in the rear fixing plate.
