Testing the Limit Switch Activation
The limit switch must be tested to make sure that it is opening and closing the chutes to the correct
positions.
Before You Begin
WARNING
Disconnect all power sources before attempting to connect wiring. All wiring should
be done by a certified electrician. Follow all national and local electrical codes.
1. Field drill two holes in bottom of chute controller electrical box (A) large enough to accommodate
cables for power and controls.
NOTE:
Refer to the TopDry gas and electrical installation manual for wiring diagrams.
2. After completing the wiring and before attaching the chain to the cable, test that the sprocket travels
from the open limit switch position to the closed limit switch position.
a. Secure the tamper switch in the depressed position.
NOTE:
The tamper switch (B) must be depressed for the system to function when the cover
removed.
b. Use the manual switch located on the main control panel to move the bolts on the sprocket to
the open position.
NOTE:
In the open position, the bolts are located above the switch at 9:00 and 12:00 o’clock.
c. Use the manual switch located on the main control panel to move the bolts on the sprocket to
the closed position
NOTE:
In the closed position, the bolts are located below the switch at 9:00 and 6:00 o’clock.
