» Be instructed in regular intervals about difficulties, hazards and
rules of conduct.
» Pay attention to personal safety and the safety of others, and to
orderliness and cleanliness when working with and using equipment.
» Always use the appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure
a safe work environment (see chapter 6.5).
6.5 Using the personal protective equipment
The electric Thermit ® igniter SMARTWELD SPARK initiates the chemical reaction
of the Thermit ® portion. The required protective equipment is identical to the
protective clothing stated by Elektro-Thermit GmbH & Co. KG in the work
instructions for the Thermit
®
welding procedure.
Always obey the provisions for use of the protective equipment. Otherwise,
hazards to persons and property may occur.
Always wear the following protective clothing when working with the electric
